Check your connection settings and browser settings. You might find a little problem there. A noob answer would be check if your volume is actually on. Meaning the speakers are working, mute isn't turned on and things like that. Do sounds work for everything else?
You are absolutely correct, meat doesn't taste as good as it did years ago, anybody who says anything else, especially in the UK is talking utter rubbish!!!
Supermarket meat especially beef tastes less because of the speed in which it is taken from the farm to the counter.
Beef should be hung for at least 20 days after slaughter before being sold as this intensifies the flavour of the meat, normal supermarket cuts of beef are hung for much less time if at all !!!
We're told that the freshest meat is the best meat but in the case of beef this is just not the case, don't be drawn into the myth that the reddest meat on display will be the best because it won't, it'll simply mean that it's come straight from the farm and it hasn't been hung at all.
I think this is virtually the same for most red meats !?!?
As for Chicken well there are so many variations to choose from these days - Corn fed, Organic, Free Range etc etc. Basically I find the cheaper the chicken the cheaper the taste.
Supermarkets (give or take a couple) generally do not care one bit about how there food tastes, it's all about profit.
The best advice you can give to anybody about buying any kind of meat is to look for a local butcher who stocks locally bred produce and who can tell you exactly how each animal was bred, where they were bred and what they were fed on etc etc etc.
Years ago all food was sold this way, there was no mass production plants churning out tonnes upon tonnes of bland tasting meat and vacuum packing it straight away for our conveinience. Meat was meat and good meat at that, no added preservatives to make it last longer on the shelf and no added colourings to make it look more attractive to the eye.
Here in the UK there a couple of things that you can give a go to sample the difference between good honest meat and basic supermarket fodder.
Firstly go to www.uktvfood.co.uk and browse the "Local Food Heroes" section to find somebody near you who is producing and selling great local produce.
Secondly Sainsbury's "Taste the Difference" range of meats, particullally the Steaks (hung for a minimum of 21 days) simply taste head and shoulders about anything you'll find packed on the shelves.
Give it a go, support you local producers.
As for cooking meat we're far too sceptical about it these days,, people seem to think that if you eat a rare steak your going to get some disease and die which is also absolute rubbish !!! Sterility of meat and farming methods have never been better than they are today.
All meats deteriorate in flavour during prolonged cooking, the proteins containing the flavour keep breaking down all good food science books will tell you this as well as anybody who has any idea of how to cook.
If you can get hold of one check out this book "Mcgee on food" it'll tell you everything and more.

I'm not an expert, but I think there are a couple of reasons. One is that fat carries flavor, and cattle and pigs have been bred to be leaner, meaning less fat. I also think that the methods used to quickly bring the animals to slaughter weight in a shorter time than would happen naturally dilutes the flavor of the meat somehow.
Chemicals %26amp; the animals %26amp; poultry are no longer corn fed. The bad taste, or "not so good" taste, is called PROGRESS!!! Y-u-u-m-m-m!

The flavour of meat is in the fat content. The animals are bred much too lean these days in order to give more meat per hoof.
Meats such as steak and beef etc, are not hung in supermarkets, this is important. A slab of meat shouldn't look bright blood red when you buy it, but more of a deep burgundy red after being hung for days. Use the butchers, avoid supermarkets whenever you can.

One of the main reasons is the meat packers are injecting the meats with a solution. READ THE LABEL !!! Read the fine print. it may say enhanced with broth or solution but it is all saline (salt)

At one time those animals were not pumped full of antibiotics, growth hormones, and artificial additives put into their feed. They were most often corn fed. Most chickens were not frozen but delivered daily, freshly killed. Before frozen processing this was the only way.
As far as beef, it too was corn fed. Cattle from Texas was never butchered in Texas. All were shipped to Kansas City where they were penned in stock yards, with corn and wheat bins on all four sides of the pens, along with plenty of water. The cattle could not walk far, and certainly no where to run.
This is where the name Kansas City Steak originated. The meat was marbled, not tough, since they did not range and run.
I worked in a meat market in the 40s. We handled only full carcass. We hung the full sides in our coolers at 34-38 degrees for about 2-3 weeks. When the carcass hangs for that time, the fibers began to pull apart, not much, but the meat becomes very tender. One can push a finger into it. At that stage, the meat turns a dark, almost black, on the surface. It is not spoiled, but merely darkens from oxidation. This is trimmed off and used in hamburger, When ground, the color lightens, mixed with "fresher" meat.
The trimmed meat is then a dark pink color, not bright red. Bright red is not aged.
These are the steaks of which you speak.
Beef used to be graded by the FDA as, AAA, AA, and A. AAA was the meat described. At some point in the late 40s, the FDA decided that AAA, as it WAS known, was not necessary. So, they dispensed with AAA as it WAS known, and graded AA meat as AAA, and so on down the line. From that time on, cattle were not fed as they used to be, and the top grade, AAA is the best we have, but it is not AAA as we used to have.
Further, up to now, chemicals and all the other mentioned has increased in usage.

In fact you have the question wrong. It tastes better now then it did years ago, due to the better methods in caring for farm animals. In fact it is healthier now (if you exclude the possibility of mad cow disease) which was unknown when you were eating it as a child.

Go get a steak at whole foods or wild oats, or any other leftist market... It tastes exactly the same as any comparable "CORPORATE FARMED" beef of the same usda quality..

Some of it is due to additives and preservatives, then you have coloring, as well as much of the fat (which gives flavoring) trimmed off to make it "healthier". In the end, meats can tastes sort of plastic and bland. It's the same with many fruits and vegetables! They often taste so plastic.

Hi, I have been bugged the past few days by the buble on my bottom right screen instructing me to install IE7. I do not want to install however as I find is slows my system down significantly when using it. How can stop the bubble popping up and prevent IE7 from installing at any future time?

Stop just tells it to stop loading data. It will still be processing whatever it has downloaded and displayed.
You may have other applications running in the background or virus's that are accessing files through internet explorer.
Download a copy (its free) of Mozilla Firefox browser. It is free, secure and has few if any bugs. It also works the same as explorer.
Try it. You might like it even more even though it has the same features.

You can also copy the files directly from machine to machine. In windows 2000 and above the path is as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\ "Username" \Favorites
copy everything from there to the same location in the new machine. Some companies now have USB jumpdrives with software that keeps your favorites on the jumpdrive so you always have them with you.

What you really need is a good, basic sewing book. Something like Reader's Digest sewing book or Simplicity's Simply The Best Sewing Book or any of a number of other titles. Almost any public library will have a number of basic sewing books. Or check for a copy from a used book store; I've picked up copies of the RD book for $2 or less.
Basic sewing isn't difficult, but the more precise you are, the easier it is. Sloppy fabric cutting leads to sloppy sewing results, guaranteed. Once you've gotten some of the basics down, pretty much the sky is the limit.

That's exactly what happened with me. I switched to Mozilla Firefox. It's a lot more reliable and you can do lots of skins, add-ons, and games.

That's 'cuz IE7 is stupid. XD! Get Firefox if you want customization or Maxthon if you want a better IE replacement.
Why in the world would anyone run IE. Fire fox is the only way.
You may have too many add-ons associated with IE 7. Try resetting to default settings. Click on Tools in the upper left of your display. Then choose the Advanced Tab. Towards the bottom of the Advanced page look for and click on Reset Internet Explorer settings, and then click OK. Follow any remaining instructions. You will now have a "fresh" copy of IE 7 which will run smoother and more efficiently. Just remember that the more bells and whistles you add to IE 7 the slower it will run until it freezes up all together like in your case.

Right click icon, choose properties, then shortcut, then advanced. Unclick check box run with different credentials. Or just delete the shortcut and create another.

I don't understand what you mean by 'colour'. If you mean to say that everything is coming in black and white, then probably your video card has been damaged. Get it checked.

FireFox.......IE7 is kind of cool but still firefox is the best when it comes to security
i use IE 7 back in the day firefox was good for systems with low ram/cpu
For everyday use FF is a lot faster and has tons of great options (add-ons or extensions) but you still need IE7 for some sites.
SAFARI 3!!!!!! Safari 3 for the Mac (now pc too) is better then both of them.

Start - run. Type msconfig into the open field, click OK. Go to the Startup tab. Look for something on the list that says something about a card reader or a drive. Uncheck it. Save the changes and restart your computer.

No, it shouldn't. If you disable addons in IE, it shouldn't even affect the main workings of IE. Just stops the addon from working.

Most likly yoy are getting to much of the drug. Tell the doctor and he can adjust your dose and the itch will go away.
Something in your system doesn't like coedine. In a sense you are allergic to it, but your doc can explain that to you. It has to do with histamine and coedine I believe. You should switch to something without coedine. good luck

Same exact thing was happening to me. I came to the conclusion that IE was just crap and switched over to FireFox and I no longer have a problem viewing pages at all.

it's garbage, that is why you will be recieving a download soon to replace the current IE.
Windows and IE get junked up over time and you have to do a bit of deep cleaning. Two tools that can help are Crap Cleaner and Registry Mechanic. Crap Cleaner is a free tool you can find it by doing a search. Registry Mechanic isn't usually free but I found a free link the other day at vnunet.com. I've used both for a long time and they keep things running tip top.

Internet explorer - my home page is set to yahoo.com - Oh yeah - I recently installed the Yahoo messenger with voice.
Afterr repeatedly changing it - it always goes back. I have spy sweeper - i have an option there that does not allow any thing to 'hijack' the home page. But to no avail.

you might have spyware, that could be the reason your loading slow aswell, try using firefox as a browser, less spyware to worry about firefox.com

I don't know what IE messenger is. But if you want to avoid seeing script error messages, go to Tools %26gt; Internet Options and then the Advanced Tab. Uncheck Display a notification about every Script Error.

Rt click the IE icon choose properties, Internet optios will appear click on Security %26amp; set security level to default. Now click on advanced and in opening window click restore default and than click OK, you are done.

try lowering your security settings if this don't work go to your firewall and make sure port 443 is open as this is the port used for secure transmission instead of port 80 for http tranmission. Also go to tools/ internet options/ advanced and scroll down to the security topic and make sure ssl2.0 and tsl1.0 boxes are checked. hope this helped.
when i open my IE7.0 browser (which is set for "my.yahoo" as my home page) the address window shows as "my.yhaoo.com" BUT THEN immediately switches in the address bar to "e.my.yahoo....."and i am taken to the Yahoo SIGN IN page. (I never signed out of yahoo)
After I sign it, browsing is normal, even to clicking on MY HOME page button. However if after either web browsing OR taking no activities at all, for a period of about 30 minutes and then when i click on my home page, the address bar information first appears as "my.yahoo" then again immediately switches in the address bar to "e.my.yahoo" and routes me to the yahoo sign in page. It appears as if "my.yahoo" is logging me out after about 30 mins with or without any web activity requiring me to sign back in. Are you using IE7? This can happen with the new version. You might consider uninstalling it. It will revert back to IE6. Other than that, I don't have an answer.

People interested in annihilationism and univeralism will take heart with Orthodoxy if they never researched it. It's very different to Catholicism and just as old (if not older). You then realise how heavily Protestantism is just a branch of Catholicism.

I was pretty shocked when an Orthodox priest (a convert from Anglicanism) told me he's not worried about the fate of Ghandi and other good non-Christians who have done good in this world. He says God's just and there's going to be a lot of surprises over who God actually rewards in the afterlfie. He also doubts the protestant's idea that you just just snap your fingers by believing in Jesus and assume you'll automatically go to heaven. They don't take a black-and-white view of the world the way Protestantism does.

Orthodox theology says that those who die before hearing the truth of Orthodoxy are in God's hands and we cannot comment on their fate or how God will judge them. However, the catch is that you have to have not heard the truth. In the example given above, Ghandi would most likely have known about the Orthodox teachings and ignored them. Therefore, his fate, based on the teachings of the fathers from the beginning, is sealed and all of his good acts cannot overcome his rejection of the truth. Your priest friend is showing his protestant roots and needs to go back to school since he is talking based on his feelings and logic and not based on the written word of the Orthodox faith, which does not take feelings and human knowledge as having any significance. However, he is correct that just saying "I believe in Jesus" will get you nowhere.
