I have Windows XP, IE 6. Would someone live some feedback on Internet Explorer 7? Good? Bad? Problem

Nice looking interface, smaller icons, tabs, %26amp; much more options. For instance, you can enlarge the page your viewing by up to 400% or downsize it to 50% by clicking the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner of the screen. It doesnt just resize the fonts it does everything , including pictures on the page. Great for people with poor eyesight or those who just want a closer view. Thats one of my favorite options, Awesome! The tabs are defintely better than Yahoo Tabs, yuck. You should be able to figure the majority of it out within a few hours, seems fairly simple to use. It is different then IE6. I didnt notice any slowing down on my pc with it, as others have stated, but I do defrags, clear temp files, ect. on a regular basis to keep my pc running smoothly. You may not like the phishing option, it will slow the pages loading the first time you visit the site, but it is easy to turn off or change the settings. Phishing is one of the fastest growing threats on the Internet and a form of identity theft. It refers to high-tech scams using phony Web sites with actual brands designed to steal valuable personal information such as user names, passwords, credit card numbers, and Social Security numbers. It is good if you use Paypal, Ebay, Yahoo Auctions, Online Banking or other money sites. A lot of people click on links from their email to pay for auctions or check their accounts when they get a notification, this would help you determine if you are at a phishing site, but it is not foolproof, since all the sites have not been reported as of yet and new sites are created daily, but it is helpful. I recommend IE7, eventually in the near future most people who dont use other browsers like firefox, mozilla, ect will be using the new version. How many people do you know that still use IE5 , its progress. Some people like progress others would prefer things stay the same. If you dont like it after giving it a try for a few days , just uninstall it. Enjoy your day :o)

It was okay. But since it was in beta form, some websites didn't work properly with it. So, I uninstalled it and it went back to IE 6.
i loved IE 7.

the complete user interface and stuff is awesome.

however, there were still some bugs in the software so i uninstalled it until they come out with a permanent version.
IE 7 is pretty good with xtra added features but it takes some time to launch.....slower then IE6...no probs otherwise....its good....u can hv IE 7 but sometimes u might experience probs with a few sites....i prefer mozilla firefox....grt and reliable....try tat
I have been using IE7 since the first public beta came out. I absolutely love it. My problems with websites have been very minimal (almost non-existent). I am petty picky about toolbars, etc. taking up reading space but IE7 has significantly reduced the space that it takes up for menus, toolbars, etc.
The hard fact is that the internet is full of people that have had tons of problems with ANY versions of Explorer and now they are all begging for a solution to their problems, I mean I just searched this site for Explorer Problems and bingo! 1.500 near desperate people looking for help.

Here I'll save you the effort of typing it in, just click here and form your own opinion before you take anybody's word for it http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_r...

further, In June 2004, the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team

(CERT) took the unusual step of urging PC users to use a browser--any browser--other than IE. You can read the article here:

so, why keep on struggling with explorer when you can have Firefox or Niche for free?

You can get them both here:
