Recently had a firefox update and afterwards i cant hear any sound...i can hear sound from other applications so its not speakers just wont work on any type of web pages...tried reinstalling them both but did nothing.

Try using Windows Restore to restore it back before the update.

Have you tried a third browser, such as Opera?
