The paper setting of IE 6.0 won't stay at 8.5 X 11. It goes to user defined. How do I stop this

I think you can fix this by the settings on the Page Settings option. While in IE, Click on File/Page Setup and under paper Size, from the drop-down box select Letter. At the bottom of the Page Setup box under Orientation, select the correct orientation you desire (portrait or landscape) and then click on OK. This should set the options that should be kept by Internet Explorer from session to session.
